ADC*E GREATNESS CHALLENGE

To finance our trip to Barcelona, we launched the Spark Award — an award for agencies that skipped the hard part and simply bought themselves a trophy.

Inspired by an industry obsessed with awards, expensive case films, and self-congratulation, we created a satirical award show where agencies could purchase recognition outright. In other words: we turned advertising's worst-kept secret into a business model.

The idea raised more than CHF 4,500, funded our participation in the Greatness Challenge, and helped us make a little advertising history: together, we became the first Swiss team ever to win the competition.
